Templates are a great way to design your own products, allowing you to be as creative as you wish. They show you the exact dimension and size of the product so they you can envision exactly how your logo will look.
Safe Zones are the distance allowed from the edge of your finished page size for text, diagrams or images not going to bleed. This border allows for a tolerance in cutting of the product. If your design includes text that runs along the edge, then any cutting deviation can be a risk of losing text. We recommend a Safe Zone where there is no text at least 5mm around the edges of your product design.
When any image or design goes all the way to the edge of the page, we consider this to have bleed. Meaning, there will be no white border around your design or image. To create this effect, we print the project on a larger size material than the desired size and the art will need to extend beyond the final size edge at least ⅛” to ¼” space, which is known as the trim edge. Once printed, the access is cut off leaving a clean cut edge with no border.
